As many of you already know I am now living in Illinois. If you didn't know that.... surprise! The reasons are personal but the idea is for a new focus in life, a new direction for my life to follow, one that will lead me to the places that the lord will have the most use of me. As I was packing I came across a book, and for some reason I started flipping through the pages. I got a little over half way through when I found an old church program from 2 years ago! On the cover was a semi-standard picture of the temple and a quote that explains my journey to the mid west better than I could: it reads, "I urge you to examine your life. Determine where you are and what you need to do to be the kind of person you want to be. Create inspiring, noble, and righteous goals that fire your imagination and create excitement in your heart. And then keep your eye on them. Work constantly towards achieving them." --Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin
So as I start the journey here in Illinois, I urge you also, where ever you may be, to think about the person you want to be and then like Elder Worthlin states, use your creativity and imagination to accomplish it. Since we are in the time of year where resolutions are made and spirits are high, lets both make goals that change our life and also change our minds. Its the journey rather than the destination that makes life worth living!
The lord has a plan for you and me, but are we living in such a way that he has the ability to use us?
